The Retail and Fast Food Workers Union launched a crowdfunding campaign to support workers at Better Read Than Dead Bookstore who had just organized with the union. When management refused to negotiate, fired union organizers, and locked out the workers. The organizers smashed their initial goal of $12,000 and raised over $22,000.
